The chilvarous knight of the castle is usually found in media as closed off antagonists, foils, tsundere/yandere/dandere love interests, shonen/shoujo male leads, and detached guys with anger issues (and a knack for solving the case) - generally masc and edgy sorts of characters I gravitate towards and see myself in. I know I am one of many a knight, garrison, and constable who may feel represented in this way, therefore the portcullis is lifted for any and all who also kin these characters.
